Today is the 391st birth anniversary of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. My humble tribute to him.
Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj was born in the hill-fort of Shivneri, near the city of Junnar in Pune district on 19 February 1630. His mother named him Shivaji in honor of the goddess Shivai, to whom she had prayed for a healthy child. Shivaji was named after this local deity.
Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj was the founder of the Maratha Kingdom. Shivaji was a honest, secular and valiant ruler who became known across the continent for his unmatched bravery and smart tactics.

Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj was very popular because of his truthfulness and well-structured administrative departments. Shivaji established a competent and progressive civil rule with the help of a disciplined military and well-structured administrative organisations.

They rose to prominence by establishing a rightful Hindavi Swarajya that means self-rule of Hindu/Indian people.

Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s influence as an inspiring leader grew so rapidly that his staunch enemy Aurangzeb himself had to admit “My armies have been employed against him for nineteen years and nevertheless his (Shivaji’s) state has always been increasing.”
